Assign the work folder by folder
-
Upload and read tasks, assigned singly or in bulk
-
One list of every open task, filtered by status
-
Task reports included in the data room export
Turn a shared checklist into work that is actually owned
Due diligence stalls when no one is sure who owes which document. Task manager puts a named owner on every folder and shows both sides what is still open.
Owners, not reminders
Every upload and every review sits with a named person inside the data room, so the chasing stops being an email thread.
Assign in bulk
Select several folders at once and one task is created per folder, instead of raising each of them by hand.
Status at a glance
Filter the task list by open, completed or all statuses, and read it in the same folder order as the data room.
Evidence on record
Upload and reading task reports sit in the report section and travel with the data room export when the deal closes.
TASK MANAGER
From assignment to closed task
Enable
Tasks are on by default in every new data room, and administrators decide which user groups may assign them.
Assign
Choose a folder, pick an upload or a reading task, and assign it to one or more users.
Complete
Assignees upload the documents, or tick off each file as they read it, then mark the task done.
Track
Administrators and task managers follow every open task from the dashboard, and reopen any that needs more work.
Task types
Two task types cover what a due diligence actually asks for
An upload task asks someone to fill a folder. A reading task asks someone to review what is already in it, either the whole folder or named files.
- Upload tasks point at a folder, not a file list
- Reading tasks cover a whole folder or selected files
- New uploads can join an open reading task automatically
rOLES AND CONTROL
Decide who can assign tasks, user group by user group
Administrators are task managers by default and cannot be removed. Everyone else is granted the right explicitly, either at invitation or later from the settings.
- Mark a user as task manager when you invite them
- Enable or disable task managers per user group
- Buyer teams receive reading tasks from their own task manager
oVERSIGHT
One list of every open task and a task report
Task managers switch between their own tasks and everything assigned to others, and act on several at once. The report section keeps the record after the deal closes.
- Edit, cancel, complete or reopen several tasks together
- Sort and filter by open, completed or all statuses
- Upload and reading reports included in the data room export

FAQ
Tasks are enabled by default in every new data room. Administrators can turn the feature off, choose which user groups may assign tasks, and appoint task managers when inviting a user or later under task management settings.
Administrators, who are task managers automatically and cannot be removed, plus any user given task manager rights. Each one assigns within their own team, so a buyer team receives its reading tasks from its own task manager.
Task management is part of Admincontrol Data Room, so task records live alongside the deal documents on European infrastructure, under the same encryption, access controls and audit trail as everything else.
Upload and reading task management reports sit in the report section throughout the process, and are included in the data room export, so the record of who was asked to do what survives the close.
